She enjoys watching walk-in customers touch and admire the gently used luxury goods as they fall in lust with the store.

She realizes that people often wish they could find the bag of their dreams for a price that they can afford, and her store brings those bags out of women’s closets and onto the shelves.

Patrick and Karla both attended Palos Verdes High School, where they were high school sweethearts, and now their children attend the school.

Family is important to Karla and Patrick, who make it a point to go home and have dinner with their kids each night.

The Kehreses lived in Asia for 20 years, and although they loved their life, they did not lose the awareness that their home on the hill was thousands of miles away. They moved back in 2004, and both Karla and Patrick became teachers at Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.

He taught entrepreneurship and helped several students open up their own consignment shops, putting together ideas and business plans and running the fiscal aspects.

After teaching, the Kehreses weren’t ready to retire. Opening up Boutique Classique “just fit, and was meant to be.”
